Bernadette, Where'd you go?

Image result for where'd you go bernadette

This book is proof that inside a stupid cover, there can be a great novel.  This book was recommended by my cousins, Judi and Jennie, and I loved every moment of it.  It's supposed to be fife unny!  Don't expect it to be life changing although I kind of want to go to Antarctica now.

Bee's mother, Bernadette, has gone missing.  Bernadette is determined to find her, and her father is determined to make life chaotic along the way.  Bee is just trying to live a normal life with a not so normal family.  Those of you who have a slightly crazy mother (or neighbor) will appreciate Bee's great sense of optimism.  Oh, and be prepared to laugh along the way.

I felt like I traveled to the moon...

For those of you who don't know me...I have never really wanted to go to the moon.  I am not a huge Sarah Dessen fan, but my students seem to enjoy her books.  I did, however, love Along for the Ride.  I read this book while lying on the beach - the perfect place to read a nice teen novel.  But, I found that I couldn't wait for it to end. I ended up with a nice tan, but I didn't end up with much love for the book.

On a happier note, the book wasn't terrible.  It was quite cliche, but an easy 20 point RC read.  Read it - perhaps you can argue against my dislike for the book.
