Getting over...

“You can die of a broken heart -- it's scientific fact -- and my heart has been breaking since that very first day we met. I can feel it now, aching deep behind my rib cage the way it does every time we're together, beating a desperate rhythm: Love me. Love me. Love me.”

A good read for anyone who has an obsession - a boy, a girl, a book, a thought...learning to live life for yourself and not getting caught up in the fantasy of something that will never happen.  Although a teen novel, a powerful story of enjoying those around you and each step of the journey of life.

In vain I have struggled...

I just finished another reading of Pride and Prejudice with my Sophomore Honors English classes.  Jane Austen is truly a master of words.  It is a timeless tale that all generations will continue to read and enjoy.  There are no words to explain how much I love reading this book each year.

Two Way Street

Yet another teen novel!  I surprisingly liked this novel even though it had a bit of a slow start.  Jordan and Courtney are not longer dating, but they are still attending the same college. As promised, they are going to get to college via a long road trip...together!  The author highlights both sides of the story as the two attempt to mend broken hearts. What would you do if you had to spend a few days in a car with your ex?
